WHAT'S IN MY BAG FOR A DAY IN TOWN

After posting my five favourites post, in which I mentioned my Lancaster Mademoiselle Ana bag, I thought it would be fun to actually show you what I carry around in this little bag when I am out and about in town. I usually carry this bag along with me when I am off to run errands or am going to see friends in town. This is the perfect everyday sized bag to carry around with you, as you can still fit lots of stuff into the bag, which you will be able to see in this post.

As you can see, I can still fit quite a lot of stuff into my little Lancaster Mademoiselle Ana bag. The first, most prominent thing in my bag, usually is my iPhone 7 with it's headphones. I am always listening to music, as well as taking photos, so my phone cannot be missed in my bag.

Another thing that can be found in my bag when I am out in town, is a hand cream. We're just out of Winter and my hands are still quite dry after the Winter season. So I am always carrying a hand cream with me in any kind of bag. Right now I am using the & Other Stories Zephyr Hand Cream, which I have bought in bulk about 1,5 years ago, and I am still using it up.

This next thing is also one of the things that is always in my bag, which is a lip balm. I don't even think I can go out the door without having my lip balm in either a bag or a coat pocket of mine. The lip balm that is in this bag, is the Skin & Tonic Rose Lip Balm, which is ok and keeps my lips hydrated. Other lip balms that can be found in some of my other favourite bags are the Nuxe Reve de Miel, Burt's Bees lip balm and the Crazy Rumors lip balms.

A fragrance is also something I cannot miss having in my bag. If there's one thing I hate, it's smelling of food when I have been into town. So somewhere while growing up, I made up that it helps to have some sort of a fragrance around with you to mask the 'food smell'. This doesn't really make sense as I usually carry a rollerball fragrance around with me. Sometimes I also just am in a bit of a hurry and forget to spray anything on, so that's when this would also come in very handy. In this bag I carry the Elizabeth & James Nirvana White rollerball with me, but I also tend to have either the Chloe Le Parfum rollerball or the Chloe Love Story Perfume rollerball with me. Because it's good to have options.

Besides having clothes that smell of food, I also hate it when I ate something and feel like I don't have fresh, minty breath afterwards. So I also usually carry some sort of chewing gum or breath mints around with me.

Sometimes I know I am going to be running errands that take a little longer or might leave me feeling a bit peckish. And when I am starting to get hungry, I slowly am also getting a bit hangry. Therefore I always try to bring some sort of a snack with me. I have these muesli bars by Nature Valley in my bag right now, but also would carry something like a banana, an apple or some other kind of museli or oat bar around with me.

Then another thing I am never leaving the house without, is the Compeed anti-blister stick. This thing is magic. Whenever I am wearing new shoes, I put this on my heels before I put socks on to prevent me from having any blisters. And lucky for me, whenever I use this stick, I don't tend to have any blisters after wearing new or painful shoes. So nowadays I just carry it along with me in my bag for when I feel like shoes are starting to rub.

Another essential in my bag is my purse. Of course I could never leave the house without having any cards or money with me. So yeah, I usually have my DKNY purse in my bag whenever I am out in town. This purse can be quite bulky, so if I want something a little smaller, I usually end up switching my most important cards into a smaller card purse so I don't have to carry my whole purse around with me.

Another thing that can't be missed in my bag, is a pair of sunglasses. I am always wearing sunglasses even when it's an overcast, but bright day. My eyes can't seem to handle anything bright, so I usually end up wearing a pair of sunglasses. The pair of sunglasses that is currently in my bag, are the & Other Stories Square sunglasses and was such a steal! It was only €30, which is so affordable for a good pair of black sunnies! Another essential that I forgot to capture in these photos, are my keys. I mean, aren't we all lost without our keys? I just don't keep them in my bag when I am at home as I am usually switching bags quite often.

Lately I have been carrying a bit more useless stuff around in this bag too. A few weeks ago, I was having very dry, itchy eyes so while I was in town I ended up buying myself a pair of eye drops at an optician. These eye drops actually work for me, as I can also still wear my contacts while putting these eye drops in. Besides that, I also think that these will come in very handy now that hay fever season is slowly starting to attack people again. Another thing I have been carrying around with me, that was never really in my bag before, is hand sanitiser. Lately a lot of people have caught the flu and are running around with their germs. It freaked me out while I had exams, and felt obliged to carry hand sanitiser with me, so I put a little tube in my bag.

Then the final random thing that is in my purse that should probably make it's way back into my makeup bag, is an eyebrow gel by Maybelline. I was running late once and quickly picked up this eyebrow gel from my makeup bag. I actually hate this one as it has a really weird spoolie.
